Charity Partner for the Amway River Bank Run in 2026

Mission Statement: Brave the Shave is a Grand Rapids-based nonprofit dedicated to easing the burden for families experiencing chronic or serious childhood illness. It was established to honor and support area families impacted by childhood disease. The fund provides services and support to honoree families to help make a difference in their fight. The intention is to lessen families’ burdens
so they can focus on what’s most important – their child’s health.

Individual Donation Incentives:

• Raise $100 – Receive a Brave the Shave T-shirt
• Raise $1,000 – Receive a $100 gift card to Gazelle Sports (great for runners!)
• Raise $2,500 – Receive a $250 gift card to Gazelle Sports (great for runners!)
• Raise $5,000 – Receive 4 tickets to a Tigers game (agreed upon date, and $200 Visa Gift card for food & beverages

Team Donation Incentive:

• Raise $5,000 – We will donate a DREAM ROOM to P.O.R.T (Each patient going through bone marrow transplant at Helen DeVos Childrens Hospital receives a Dream Room from the Pediatric Oncology Resource Team (P.O.R.T.)
